Rare complete MCR-1 (Miniature Communications Receiver) set, developed in 1943 for Allied special operations. Commonly known as the "Biscuit Tin Receiver", the MCR-1 was parachuted in large numbers to resistance networks throughout occupied Europe. Compact, reliable, and easy to conceal, it enabled agents and resistance members to receive Allied broadcasts and coded transmissions behind enemy lines.

This set benefits from exceptional provenance, having been obtained directly from the family of a member of the Belgian Secret Army (Armée Secrète) who operated in the Waterloo region during the German occupation.
